Hey everyone, I just posted my second story, Legends of Batman. It's a little on the short side, but I really didn't want any in-depth explenation about Batman/Bruce just yet. Tell me what ya'll think....

first off let me say that midnight updates rule ;D Secondly I like it. There are some little things about the writing like when u said Vikki Vales name that could be reworded to not sound so... i dunno what the word is, fake? I dunno. Just a nit pick though, good solid writing though. It did seem more like an issue 0 though... like you were introducing elements that you would be exploring over the next 12 issues. I mean no offense but i hope u don't just jump right into all of that next issue you know? Lookin forward to issue 1 -DB out

yeah, i see your point...lol it is indeed more of a set up for things. i definitely won't be dealing with all that in the next issue, as a matter of fact....the next issue's the start of an arc which has very little to do with any of the stuff i've mentioned...a couple things are, but the main arc has NOTHING to do with those little elements...lol
and yeah, midnight updates are good. i got off work at midnight tonight so i figured i'll post the stories tonight and get them up and ready for reading.....this won't always be the case, because sometimes i work day shift, but next week expect the issues up a lil after midnight too. getting off at midnight every night next week, i may hate it but at least you'll enjoy it...lol

I liked it... Haven't seen Vikki Vale in a long time! Just one problem: "What do you think, Jim?" asks Distract Attorney Harvey Dent on the other side of a two-way mirror. Should be district attorney... unless, of course, he's really distracted

yeah....i think i have a better handle on Batman. I'm freely admitting that I'm having trouble with regards to Big Blue. I think, after I've taken Supes to where I want him, I will find another writer....possibly. by then, i might have a better grasp on him. i'll definitely be writing him up until pass the first year, because there is stuff i want to happen. and thanks for the kind words.

my favorite part was definatly the gordon/dent/bats scene...it'll be interesting to see how gordon plays out in the long run....the questioning of bruce's dates name by alfred was funny too good job, i think you've got a better handle on this one than superman, although the supes had some good scenes too

yeah, my supes you can sum it up by saying i have a couple good scenes....but my batman....it's all good. I just hope I do as good in issue 2, when I have to show the Bruce Wayne persona.

Hey, I just joined up because this whole "Legends" thing sounded intriguing. I've read your Legends of Batman (haven't had a chance to read anything else yet...but I will!) and I found that, although I think it was a bit short, I loved it. It captured the essence of Batman. The whole thing with Harvey Dent was done very well as was the Arkham Asylum sequence. Keep writing and I'll keep reading!

thanks for the nice review. yeah, i know it is short (another reason it feels like an issue 0 i suppose), but as i started writing it, i knew exactly what would happen, how and where it would lead....and bats is a man over few words so the dialogue scenes weren't stretched out.....issue 2 should indeed be longer because (careful, slight spoiler) it's all about bruce in that issue....

I agree with everyone else, way better than your Supes. Your Batman is as good as the movie. (GO SEE IT!!! WE GOTTA BEAT SPIDERMAN!) The one thing I wish you wouldnt have done was have the announcer tell the audience it was part of the act. Here I was waiting for the normal Dick origin and then you announce that it's part of the act. It woulda been better if Dick had just swooped in... at least for me, I dunno how everyone else felt. Just a nitpick though. You're doing great on this one. Keep up the good work.

PS. TIM!!!!!!! Excellent cameo.

well, originally, i did want to do the normal origin for dick, but i couldn't think of a reason for the villain i wanted to use, to kill them in that way (sorry, slight spoiler...or i guess a hint...lol). then, as i thought about, this could be a way to bring a bit of a surprise to this particular story. every comic fan (and most non-comic fans) would expect them to fall to their deaths. reading something that is expected to happen can at times be boring....which is why ya gotta have a twist sometimes....not a big enough tweist that it changes the entire thing....but a nice small one to keep people interested...
oh...and about tim...not just a cameo...he will be a supporting character....not in every issue...but he certainly will be brought back.....

yeah i appreciated the twist, it was great, just didn't like the announcer announcing that it was a twist.
