I freaking loved it! Great story & I loved the updates made to the origin! Instead of random chemicals, it was the speed force serum mixed with the lightning bolt. Too cool. The dialogue flowed... Although, I would have like to see Kenyons expression at the end when Barry is suddenly gone from his grasp & The Flash stands between Cold & the crowd. Being a man of science, would Kenyon put 2 & 2 together...? Interesting. Also, good job introducing Ralph & Sue.
One thing that I've noticed when reading Flash comics, especially when written by Johns, is when they're good, you fly through them. Congratualtions, it felt like I was reading a regular Flash comic.
Just a typo I noticed... Wally roles (should be rolls) his eyes, but gets into the car. “Life changing, I’m sure.”<br> One spot where a word was out of place: "as well as was funny and quick-witted"
And (not a problem, just an inquiry), would Wally already call Barry "Uncle", even though Barry & Iris are only dating? It is possible, I know, I'm 'Uncle Scott' to my friends kids... I was just wondering if that was the case here.
Keep it up man, I CANNOT WAIT for issue 2...

the uncle barry thing i wondered about too when i first read it, i never actually asked about it but only because i thought about the fact that iris and barry are already in love. this to me suggests they have been dating for awhile, and Wally probably thinks of him as his uncle. this, of course, is just speculation on my part. maybe nik will be in here to speak about it

thanks for the kind words lanternladremember, barry and iris have been together since high school, so this means that barry has known wally since he was a little kid, and barry and iris are very close, even though i realize that theyre not married, wally does think of barry as an uncle i would like to mention that i am a bit upset over the change of professor thawne's 'damn you allen' to 'darn you' darn you sounds kind of corny, and in comics even now-a-days they use words like that i mean, ive seen mark millar use very...connotative language, even in titles like ultimate x-men also, lanternlad used three curses, i believe, in his first story and i used damn twice, but it was changed i'm just a little upset about this, and thought it was unfair

nik....i didn't change any wording you in your story (with the exception of the thing about Victor Fries that I told you about. If you look at your post just now you'll see that the board automatically changed the word dam n (the word I assume you mean) to darn. I didn't think the board settings would change the stories, but i will fix it so only the really offensive words will be censored. But honestly, I did not change your wording.

oh, i understand. i didn't want you to think i changed your story. I feel bad I didn't think of that. I thought about it in regards to a particular character's name (you know who I mean..lol) but didn't think about sometimes the story would call for profanity. I used that same word in my Batman story and I didn't even think about it...lol

I like it, tied for second fave with Batman.
One thing that I know you're gonna get into but it still bothered me a little was never mentioning Wally again. Not even a "How's Wally?" from Barry when he woke up in the bed. It coulda been a Epilogue even with Wally running somewhere. I dunno.
Speaking of Wally I dunno how i feel about him being 16 already. That's a little old. Some of the situations with him don't really fit his age (ie having to be babysat by Barry, you're 16 dude, just go home), let alone the ramifications of him being 16 and (theoretically) gaining his powers at the same time Barry does. I think this kind of takes away from him being a "legacy" character. Because he's going to be learning to use his abilities at the same time Barry is and theoretically faster because he's not bound by the knowledge of phsyics and other limits that would theoretically hold Barry back on a psychological level. Just opinion though and probably a premature one at that considering it's only issue 1. But for the record it's still early u can still fix his age ;D
Still looking forward to issue two though, keep up the good work.

oh dont worry about wally, i actually wrote in a scene regarding wally's condition in issue 2 as for his age, i always thought that sidekicks in general were a bit young...c'mon, i dont see batman taking a 13 year old and sending him into the streets to fight crime as for barry having to take care of wally, the reason because of that is that wally is actually out of town and visitng, he doesnt live in central city and doesnt know it as well as his home, even though he visits his aunt there often but hey, im glad you liked it!

Ok I guess your age explanation makes sense, but since Legends is supposed to have a continuity are all the other Titans and friends gonna be around the same ages or is wally gonna be 16 and dick is 9 and so on?

dick will actually be 14 or 15......i'm not sure what age AmazonPrince will be having Donna at.....but there is one Titan I've changed his introductory age a lot.....that will be roy....he'll actually be arsenal in his first appearance and probably 21....he won't have any GA connection (although, maybe a loose connection). He'll be introduced in Legends of Batman #5.

I really liked issue one of Legends of Flash. I've never really read much Flash before but I was able to get right into the mood and atmosphere of the story. Speaking of the story, it was great! Can't wait for issue two!

Issue two was a good read. I've always liked the concept of the Flash but was never a big Flash fan, and I guess that's cuz I didn't grow up with him. It's good watching Barry begin to learn to use his abilities. I really can't wait to see Wally though.
Also I like Ralph and Sue as costars. Hopefully they won't just drop away as the series picks up in energy and plot threads.

thanks for the kind words sue and ralph will definatly be in the supporting cast, as well as kenyon, albert desmond, iris, captain frye, detective curtis, and fiona webb...as well as a certain senator, soon to make his apperance actually, even the minor characters, like patty spivot and ms. blackmon from issue 1 are real characters from some time or another in the flash comics..even the mentions of thawne's son, malcom, and kenyon's ex-wife amunet black are taken from the comics as for wally, he will return, but not for awhile when he does, it will be a great return, loaded with some great villians, but barry will be flying...err, running solo for awhile
