Hi, being new to the board. I hope I do not make any fopaws. But here is an example of some of my work. I know it's rough. I unfortunately have never had the opportunity to take any formal lessons. I would like to just get your honest opinion (not to honest) LOL of my work. Thx. Good reading everyone. Ps. How do I post an image?

Hey! Welcome to the boards. Can't wait to see your artwork. I answered the posting a picture question in my thread so I'm cutting and pasting the answer here.
First you need to upload your picture to a website. If you don't have your own webspace then Photobucket is a great free site for storing image files. Once you have your image uploaded then copy the url of its location, which will be Http://..whatever../your_file_name.jpg (or .gif or .bmp , etc.). Again, Photobucket provides all this info directly under each file and makes it super easy. Then, come back here and hit the image button on the little toolbar editor you get everytime you post (it's the one with the little picture frame). It will give you two sets of brackets that each say IMG. Paste the location of your pic between the two bracket sets and then post your reply. You should then be able to see your image.
Here's an example {img}http://www.placewhereyourphotois.com/yourusername/nameoffile.jpg{/img}
The brackets will be different but I had to change them so the html tag would show up for the example.
Hope this helps!

another way is to go to image shack and press browse click the pic and press open then press host it p.s you have to save the image on your computer before going to imageshack here is a link imageshack.us/

Thanks my heart dropped for a minute. LOL. But it's supposed to be superman blue. And I really like the detail on the cape and all too. Also I have experimented with color. So far I do better with pencil any tips guys would be great.

You're right Dark Knight. Thx for the compliment this is the first time I have done something like this I have other stuff, I just have to seperate the nudes from the fantasy stuff. LOL. I hope one day with some classes my work will be as good as the other talented people on this board. My thanks to the moderators and all for providing a forum for me to show my work.

same here... bastard lessons.... i like the detail, but in my honest opinion, your faces could use a bit of work, the arrangement of features are at an angle (the nose to the right eye...?) and for me, your art is reminiscent of kelley jones... remember, all this is in my opinion... and i'm picky... so dont take offense to anything i say! you can only get better!

he are some tips (i know that i'm not the kind of person who should be giving tips, because my art style is hardly fantastic...) slim down the muscles... don't go OTT... keep everything in proportion... the arms are fine, but the torso is a bit too large... keep that down and you'll have a (IMO) a more rounded pic! And if it's good now...

Great pic! I do think it's a bit off in a few spots but that is easy to do when working from a reference picture. Over all a very well done piece. Great pencil work and a strong eye for detail.
Post more artwork, we'd love to see it!
