that static shock is the best i've ever seen of that character and makes me like him this ([--]) much. Rock out! Are you doing any covers? Cos i have an undisclosed story coming up, and I'm not impressed with my own work, and would appreciate anything you would offer...

Absolutely, question. I have two pics on my plate at the moment. One for next week and another a bit after that. Let me know what you're thinking of doing character-wise and with a deadline in a PM and I'll let you know if I can do it.

Jarvia, First you need to upload your picture to a website. If you don't have your own webspace then Photobucket is a great free site for storing image files. Once you have your image uploaded then copy the url of its location, which will be Http://..whatever../your_file_name.jpg (or .gif or .bmp , etc.). Again, Photobucket provides all this info directly under each file and makes it super easy. Then, come back here and hit the image button on the little toolbar editor you get everytime you post (it's the one with the little picture frame). It will give you two sets of brackets that each say IMG. Paste the location of your pic between the two bracket sets and then post your reply. You should then be able to see your image.
Here's an example {img}http://www.placewhereyourphotois.com/yourusername/nameoffile.jpg{/img}
The brackets will be different but I had to change them so the html tag would show up for the example.
Hope this helps!

As good as this is, it still doesn't do justice to the finished product. This, along with Lantern Lad's phenomenal contribution, have really made Hawkman #2 a very special issue for me, and I hope eveyone will check it out.

Cooke & Timm are two that I idolize. My work tends to be too detailed at times... I would like to approach my work with a minimalist view, but no matter what the detailer always comes out of me. Personally, Brandon, this cover outshines my pic!

Personally, Brandon, this cover outshines my pic! Hey, I'm just happy to have a chance to contribute. I really enjoy being part of a creative process so I really enjoy showing my work and seeing other's artwork and then getting more ideas and then so on and so forth. The best kind of fun. Your pic is amazing btw, LL. Very, very well put together and the coloring is very rich. The wings are frickin' amazing! I really enjoy Timm and Cooke as well. Other artists I admire (and try to emulate) are Steve Rude, Mike Allred, Mike Mignola, Paul Pelletier, Oeming, Ed Mcguinness, and a number of Silver Age artists. Artists with simple style really impress me as they use the bare minimum to convey ideas and action and that to me seems more difficult than using highly detailed work.
